Distribution

Known only from the drainage of the Río Cosanga and in the Cordillera Guacamayas on the eastern slope of the Cordillera Oriental in Napo Province, Ecuador, 1575–2137 m elevation.

Comment

In the Pristimantis boulengeri group, the sister taxon of Pristimantis omarrhynchus, according to the original publication, where comparative morphology, advertisement call, and molecular markers were detailed. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 3: 250–252, provided an account with photographs which summarized morphological identification, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
