Distribution
Known only from the type locality (Alto del Buey, Parque Nacional Natural Farallones de Cali, Cauca), located in the Cordillera Occidental, southwestern Colombia (3213–3395 m elevation).

Comment
In the Pristimantis leptolophus species group, according to the original publication, where comparative morphology, molecular markers (16S mtDNA), and advertisement call were detailed.
