Distribution
Highlands of the Chapada Diamantina, state of Bahia, Brazil, from ca. 870 to almost 1800 m elevation, in the municipalities of Ipupiara, Piatã , and Rio de Contas.

Comment
In the Pristimantis conspicillatus group according to the original publication, where comparative morphology, cranial anatomy, and advertisement call were detailed. In the Pristimantis conspicillatus group, Pristimantis ramagii clade of Fouquet, Réjaud, Rodrigues, Ron, Chaparro Auza, Osorno-Muñoz, Werneck, Hrbek, Lima, Camacho-Badani, Jaramillo-Martinez, and Chave, 2022, Syst. Biodiversity, 20(1: 2130464): 1–16, who reported on phylogenetics and biogeography, and who implied that the nominal species is composed of at least two lineage-species.
