Distribution

Highlands of the Cordillera Oriental in the Abra de Zamora and about 13 km to the south in the Cajuma sector of Log and Zamora Chinchipe provinces, Ecuador, 2812 to 3000 m elevation.

Comment

In the Pristimantis orestes group, Pristimantis colodactylus subgroup, according to the original publication, where comparative morphometrics and molecular markers were detailed. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 4: 448–450, provided an account, with photographs, which summarized identification, adult morphology, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
