Comment

Comparative morphology and molecular markers detailed in the original publication, where the species was assigned to the new Pristimantis anaiae species group, of uncertain placement within PristimantisReyes-Puig, Yánez-Muñoz, Libke, Vinueza, and Carrión-Olmedo, 2024, Evol. Syst., 8: 101–118, provided a molecular tree of the placement of this species as well as a morphological comparison with other members of the Pristimantis anaiae species group and a dot map of distribution. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 3: 415–416, provided an account with photographs which summarized morphological identification, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
