Lourenço-de-Moraes, Solé, and Toledo, 2012, Zootaxa, 3441: 64, provided a dot map of the range. See Dominato, Cassini, Silva, and Orrico, 2018, Zootaxa, 4444: 575–583, discussed the results of Fouquet, Loebmann, Castroviejo-Fisher, Padial, Orrico, Lyra, Roberto, Kok, Haddad, and Rodrigues, 2012, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 65: 547-561, particularly with reference to the identity of the various Adelophryne lineages, both named and unnamed, in that paper as well as discussing morphological evolution within the genus. Juncá, 2006, Biota Neotrop., 6: 1–17, briefly summarized the presence of this species in the Serra da Jibóia region, Bahia, Brazil, and its habitat.
