Comment
Brito-Zapata, Chávez-Reyes, Pallo-Robles, Carrión-Olmedo, Cisneros-Heredia, and Reyes-Puig, 2024, PeerJ, 12(e17939): 1–29, provided a molecular tree that suggests that Ischnocnema is paraphyletic with respect to Bahius (as Heyerus) in Holoadeninae. However, Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 434, recovered Bahius as the sister taxon of Barycholos (Holoadeninae) and far from Ischnocnema, which they recovered as the sister taxon of Brachycephalus (Brachycephalidae). von May, Diaz, Ttito, Santa-Cruz Farfan, and Catenazzi, 2024, Diversity, 16 (613): 5, recovered Bahius as the sister taxon of Noblella (sensu stricto) in Holoadeninae.
