Cordillera Oriental in southern Peru, 2550-3539 m elevation.
Comment
Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 103, noted three unnamed species and provided evidence for the phylogenetic placement of this taxon. Duellman and Lehr, 2009, Terrest.-breeding Frogs in Peru: 259-262, provided accounts for the Peruvian species. See comments under Microkayla and Noblella. Redelimited by the revision of De la Riva, Chaparro, Castroviejo-Fisher, and Padial, 2017 "2018", Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 182: 129–172, and the exclusion of the species transferred to Microkayla.
