Phrynopus daemon Chávez, Santa-Cruz Farfan, Rodríguez, and Lehr, 2015, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 9(1, e105): 20. Holotype: CORBIDI 15364, by original designation. Distribution

Known from two localities (Achupampa and Unchog forest) in the Huanuco region, central Peru, in the cloud forests of the Cordillera de Carpish, near the treeline on the eastern side of the Andes.
