Pristimantis adiastolus Duellman and Hedges, 2007, Phyllomedusa, 6: 121. Holotype: KU 291681, by original designation. Type locality: "1.5 km NW Cacazú, 1200 m, 10° 38′ S, 75° 07′ W, Departamento Pasco, Peru".

Lower humid montane forest at an elevation of 1200 m on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera Yanachaga in Departmento Pasco, central Peru.


In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) peruvianus group, most similar to Pristimantis bipunctatus, according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis  peruvianus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 120, and Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 125.
