Known only from the type locality in the Parque Natural Nacional Las Orquídeas, Department of Antioquia, Colombia.

Comment

Subgenus Eleutherodactylus, unassigned to species group according to the original publication. In the subgenus Pristimantis, but unnassigned to species group by Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 118. Not assignable to any current species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127.
