Pristimantis albertus Duellman and Hedges, 2007, Phyllomedusa, 6: 124. Holotype: KU 291675, by original designation. Type locality: "Río San Alberto, 0.9 km N, 2.1 k E Oxapampa, 1970 m, 10° 33′ 36″ S, 75° 24′ W, Departamento Pasco, Peru".

Distribution

Known  from the region of the type locality (0.9 km north and 2.1 km east of Oxapampa, Departmento Pasco, 1970 m elevation) and 65 km (airline) east of the type locality (Río Huatziroki valley, 1970 m elevation, Distrito Pichanaqui, Provincia Chanchamayo, Región Junín), central Peru.

Comment

In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) peruvianus group, most similar to Pristimantis stictogaster, according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) peruvianus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 126; this reformulated as the Pristimantis danae species group by  Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 125. See Duellman and Lehr, 2009, Terrest.-breeding Frogs in Peru: 137-138, for brief account.
