Eleutherodactylus amydrotus Duellman and Lehr, 2007, Sci. Pap. Nat. Hist. Mus. Univ. Kansas, 39: 6. Holotype: FMNH 231949, by original designation. Type locality: "the ridge above the base camp near Chorro Blanco, ca. 4.5 km (airline) NE Monte Seco, ca. 06° 51′ S, 79° 06′ W, ca. 1500 m, Departamento de Cajamarca, Peru".

In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128 Not assignable to species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127.
