Known only from the type locality (sector Monay sector, cantón Rivera, Provincia de Cañar, Ecuador, from 3374 to 3535 m elevation). 

Comment

In the Pristimantis orcesi group, the sister taxon of Pristimantis erythros according to the original publication.
