Pristimantis bambu Arteaga-Navarro and Guayasamin, 2011, Zootaxa, 2876: 19. Holotype: QCAZ 46740, by original designation. Type locality: "La Libertad, Reserva Mazar (02.54804 S, 78.69741 W; 2976 m.a.s.l.), Cantón Azogues, Provincia Cañar, Ecuador; airline distance from Rivera is 6.6 km".

Distribution

Known only from the Andes of southeastern Ecuador (Provincia Cañar) in the Reserva Mazar, at elevations of 2876–2989 m.

Comment

In the Pristimantis orestes group, close to Pristimantis simonbolivari and an unnamed species, according to the original publication. Not assignable to species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127.
