Distribution
Known only from the type locality in Yanachaga-Chemillén National Park, Distrito de Huancabamba, Provincia de Oxapampa, Región Pasco, Peru, at 2950 m elevation in cloud forest.

Comment
Unassigned to species group in the original paper, but considered to be most closely related to Pristimantis cruciocularis, a member of the ill-delimited Pristimantis unistrigatus group. Included in the Pristimantis marmoratus clade of the Pristimantis unistrigatus group as delimited by Mônico, Koch, Ferrão, Fernandes, Marques, Chaparro, Rodrigues, Lima, and Fouquet, 2024, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 108203: 1–19, on molecular grounds (2 mtDNA genes and 2 nuDNA genes).
