Comment
In the Eleutherodactylus auriculatus group according to the original publication, and Schwartz, 1969, Stud. Fauna Curaçao and other Caribb. Is., 30: 99-115. Hardy, 1982, Bull. Maryland Herpetol. Soc., 18: 68, implied that Eleutherodactylus urichi euphronides is a distinct species, subsequently substantiated by Kaiser, Hardy, and Green, 1994, Copeia, 1994: 780-796, who provided an account. Kaiser, Green, and Schmid, 1994, Canad. J. Zool., 72: 2217-2237, discussed the phylogenetic relationships of this species. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) martinicensis series, Eleutherodactylus martinicensis group of Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 224. See account by Sander, Kaiser, and Powell, 2003, Cat. Am. Amph. Rept., 764: 1-3. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127. See map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status (as Eleutherodactylus euphronides) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 337. Henderson and Powell, 2009, Nat. Hist. Rept. Amph. W. Indies: 98, summarized the natural history literature.
