Amazonian lowlands and Serranía de Sira (200–1380 m) in east-central Peru; presumably in adjacent Brazil.

In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) martinicensis series, Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group of Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 224. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127. Lehr, Lundberg, Aguilar, and von May, 2006, Herpetol. Monogr., 20: 122, provided a record from the Department of Ucayali, Peru, at 230 m.
