Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (El Estadero, Caldas, Colombia, 2000 m elevation) and in the municipality of Anorí, Antioquia, Colombia.

Comment

Not assignable to species group according to the original publication. Galeano and Urbina, 2004, Herpetol. Rev., 35: 280, provided the record for Antioquia, Colombia. In the subgenus Pristimantis, but unnassigned to species group by Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 118, or by Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127.
