Pristimantis gryllus Barrio-Amorós, Guayasamin, and Hedges, 2012, Phyllomedusa, 11: 85. Holotype: CVULA 8343, by original designation. Type locality: "cloud forest along the road from Estanques to Paramo La Tosa, 8.4333 N, 71.5000 W, 1320 m, Estado Mérida, Venezuela".

Distribution

Known from the type locality (cloud forest along the road from Estanques to Paramo La Tosa, Estado Mérida, Venezuela) and from the Pamplonita and Toledo Municipalities of Norte de Santander, Colombia.

Comment

In the Pristimantis unistrigatus group according to the original publication, where the authors also suggested on the basis of molecular data a close relationship with Pristimantis yukba. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127.
