Distribution

Montane forest and páramo in the vicinity of El Playón de San Francisco, at elevation of 3229–3700 m, Provinci Sucumbíos, Cordillera Oriental in northern Ecuador, and reported in the Department of Nariño, Colombia.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus orcesi group according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) orcesi species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 125. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127.
