Pristimantis lucasi Duellman and Chaparro, 2008, Zootaxa, 1918: Holotype: MHNC6475, as unambiguously stated in the erratum Duellman and Chaparro, 2008, Zootaxa, 1947: 68.  Type locality: "Abra Esperanza, 2790 m, Distrito Oxapampa, Provincia Oxapampa, Departamento Pasco, Peru (10° 31′ 54.4″ S, 75° 20′ 58.5″ W)".

Distribution

Known only frmo humid elfin montane forest just below the crest of the Abra Esperanza (ca. 3000 m elevation), Distrito Oxapampa, Provincia Oxapampa, Departamento Pasco, Peru.

In the explicitly paraphyletic Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus group according to the original publication. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127.
