Distribution
Known only from the type locality, Naturetek Vizcaya Reserve, located in Ulba Parish, Baños township, Tungurahua Province, at 2400 m elevation in the eastern versant on the Andes in central Ecuador, near the southwestern limit of Llanganates National Park.
