Distribution
Known from cloud forest at the type locality in the state of Táchira, Venezuela, and from the municipality of Toledo in Norte de Santander, Colombia.

Comment
In Eleutherodactylus lentiginosus complex of the Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group according to original publication. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) conspicillatus series, not assigned to species group by Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 228. In the subgenus Pristimantis, but unnassigned to species group by Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 118, or by Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127. Reported from the municipality of Toledo, Norte de Santander, Colombia by Acevedo-Rincón, Franco-Pallares, and Silva-Pérez, 2014, Rev. Biodivers. Neotrop., 4: 165. Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Señaris, 2019, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 13 (1: e180): 31, suggested that this species may belong in Tachiramantis.
