Pristimantis morlaco Sánchez-Nivicela, Toral-Contreras, and Urgilés, 2022, Neotropical Biodiversity, 8: 308. Holotype: ZSFQ 4150, by original designation. Distribution

In the Province of Azuay, Ecuador within the drainages of the Paute and Jubones rivers, between 2219 and 2979 m elevation. 

Comment

Previously confused with Pristimantis phoxocephalus according to the original publcation, where comparative morphology, advertisement call, and molecular markers were detailed.
