Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the Cerro Candelaria Protected Area at an elevation of 2550 to 3150 m, Tungurahua Province, Ecuador.

Comment

In the Pristimantis anaiae species group, the sister of the remaining species, according to the original publication, where adult morphology, molecular phylogenetics, and natural history were detailed.
