Distribution
Between 900 and 2400 m between Risaralda and Munchique in the Cordillera Occidental, and the western slope of the Cordillera Central in Quindío and Cauca, Colombia.

In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 128. Bolívar-García, Giraldo, and Méndez-Narváez, 2011, Check List, 7: 9–10, provided a record for Cauca, Colombia, and the western slope of the Cordillera Central and discussed the range.
