Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) pataikos Duellman and Pramuk, 1999, Sci. Pap. Nat. Hist. Mus. Univ. Kansas, 13: 38. Holotype: KU 212320, by original designation. Type locality: "north slope of Abra Barro Negro (06° 41′ S, 77° 51′ W, 3470 m), 28 km (by road) SSW Leimebamba, Provincia Chachapoyas, Departamento Amazonas, Peru".

Distribution

Known from the region of the type locality (near the crest of the northern part of the Cordillera Central) in the Province of Bagua, Department of Amazonas, Peru, 3470 m elevation; also reported from nearby Curintza, Zamora-Chinchipe Province, Ecuador, 1800 m elevation.

In the Eleutherodactylus orestes group according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) orestes species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 125. Not assignable to a species group according to Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 128.
