Distribution

Known only from the region of the type locality in the Province of Celendín and from the high western slopes of the Cordillera Occidental near Chugur and Hacienda Taulis, Departamento Cajamarca, Peru, 3000–3916 m elevation.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus orestes group according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) orestes species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 125.
