Lynch, 2004, in Rueda-Almonacid et al. (eds.), Libro Rojo Anf. Colombia: 243-246, provided an account and map. Rojas-Rivera and Gutiérrez-Cárdenas, 2006, Check List, 2(2): 32, provided a record for the municipality of La Cruz, Nariño, Colombia. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) myersi species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 125. In the Pristimantis unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128.
