Mucubatrachus rhigophilus La Marca, 2007 "2006", Herpetotropicos, Mérida, 3: 79. Holotype: ULABG1915, by original designation. Type locality: "Páramo de Guaramacal, 3100 m (9° 13′ 53.9″ N, 70° 11′ 08.7″ W), en la via Laguna de Los Cedros-Guaramacal, Municipio Bocono, Estado Trujillo, Venezuela".

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Páramo de Guaramacal, Municipio Bocono, Trujillo, Venezuela) from upper montane wet forest to páramo.
