Distribution
Known only from the type locality in cloud forest on the western slope of the Andes in extreme southern Colombia; presumed to extend into adjacent Ecuador but not recorded there.

Tentatively associated with Eleutherodactylus acatallelus according to the original publication. See account by Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 133.
