Distribution
Known only from the vicinity of the type locality on the eastern slopes of the mountains of El Sira Communal Reserve, between 1500 and 2200 m elevation, Huánuco Department, Peru.

Comment
Mostly closely related to Pristimantis antisuyu and Pristimantis cruciocularis, according to the original publication, where molecular relationships and external morphology are described. Provisionally included in the Pristimantis marmoratus clade of the Pristimantis unistrigatus group as delimited by Mônico, Koch, Ferrão, Fernandes, Marques, Chaparro, Rodrigues, Lima, and Fouquet, 2024, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 108203: 1–19.
