Eleutherodactylus suetus Lynch and Rueda-Almonacid, 1998, Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. Exact. Fis. Nat., 22: 567. Holotype: ICN 41726, by original designation. Type locality: "Colombia, Departamento de Caldas, municipio de Samaná, corregimiento de Florencia, sitio El Estadero, 1850-1950 m.s.n.m. (approximately 6 km SE Florencia)".

Cloud forest at 1800–2800 m in the municipalities of Pensilvania and Samaná, Department of Caldas, and municipalities of Guatepé and Anorí, Antioquia, on the eastern flank of the Cordillera Central, Colombia.
