Elevations of 2870–3190 m at the upper edge of humid montane forests on the western slopes of the Andes in the provinces of Bolívar, Cañar, and Cotopaxi, Ecuador.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) conspicillatus series, Eleutherodactylus devillei group, likely the sister species of Eleutherodacylus vertebralis, according to the original publication. In the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) devillei species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 121.
