Comment
In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) binotatus series, unassigned to species group according to Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 234. In the Ischnocnema guentheri species series of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 27. Canedo and Haddad, 2012, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 65: 610-620, suggested on the basis of molecular evidence that this species falls within the Pristimantis conspicillatus group and may represent a species complex. In the Pristimantis conspicillatus species group of Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 125. Juncá, 2006, Biota Neotrop., 6: 1–17, briefly summarized the presence of this species in the Serra da Jibóia region, Bahia, Brazil, and its habitat. Trevisan, Batalha, Garda, Menezes, Dias, Solé, Canedo, and Juncá, 2020, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 148 (106811): 6, suggested on the basis of molecular data that this is a species complex. In the Pristimantis conspicillatus group, Pristimantis ramagii clade of Fouquet, Réjaud, Rodrigues, Ron, Chaparro, Osorno-Muñoz, Werneck, Hrbek, Lima, Camacho-Badani, Jaramillo-Martinez, and Chave, 2022, Syst. Biodiversity, 20(1: 2130464): 1–16, who reported on phylogenetics and biogeography and suggested that the nominal species is composed of at least four lineage-species.
