Known only from the type locality (Warmicocha-Cochabamba trail, Chachapoyas Province, Amazonas Department) at an elevation of 3376 m in the northern region of the Cordillera Central in the northeastern Peru.

Comment

Not assigned to species group in the original publication, where comparative morphology was detailed. Molecular data associated this species is that of Pristimantis sp. (CORBIDI 14804–05, of Páez and Ron, 2019, ZooKeys, 868: Suppl. Material 3).
