Comment
Not assignable to species group according to the original publication. Meza-Joya, 2016, Check List, 12 (5: 1971): 1–6, provided the first record for Colombia on the western slope of the Sierranía de Perija in the Departamento La Guajira, Colobia. Meza-Joya, Chinchilla-Lemus, Ramos, Armesto, and Acevedo-Rincón, 2019, Herpetol. Notes, 12: 61–69, provided a new Colombian locality (Norte de Santander) and discussed identification and the range (including a dot map). See Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Señaris Vasquez, 2019, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 13 (1: e180): 129, for comments on range and literature. Arias, Barrio-Amorós, García-Rodríguez, and Chaves, 2023, Rev. Latinoam. Herpetol., 5: 7, suggested that records from the Magdalena Valley of Colombia of nominal Pristimantis taeniatus should be reassigned to Pristimantis yukpa. Rivas-Fuenmayor, Sibira, and Barros-Blanco, 2023, Anartia, Zulia, 35: 16–17, discussed the paratypes and their identification(s). Included in the Pristimantis unistrigatus clade of the Pristimantis unistrigatus group as delimited by Mônico, Koch, Ferrão, Fernandes, Marques, Chaparro, Rodrigues, Lima, and Fouquet, 2024, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 108203: 1–19, on molecular grounds (mtDNA and nuDNA genes).
