Eleutherodactylus necopinus Lynch, 1997, Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. Exact. Fis. Nat., 21: 361. Holotype: ICN 24604, by original designation. Type locality: "COLOMBIA, Departamento de Quindío, Municipio Filandia, vereda El Roble, Reserva Forestal Bremen (Buena Quebrada), Quebrada las Cruces, 2050 m.s.n.m."

Distribution
Cloud forests in the northern half of the Cordillera Central of Colombia (from Quindio to northeast of Medellin on the western slope, and from northwestern Tolima to central Antioquia on the eastern slope) at elevations of 1800-2200 m.
