Callulina meteora Menegon, Gower, and Loader, 2011, Zootaxa, 3095: 16. Holotype: BMNH 2008.450, by original designation. Type locality: "the Maskati side of the Nguru South Forest Reserve, Tanzania, 6.069027778 S - 37.50066667 E, 1980 m".

Nguru Warty Frog (Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 128).  

Distribution

Nguru South Forest Reserve, Tanzania, 1980-2100 m elevation.

Geographic Occurrence

Natural Resident: Tanzania

Endemic: Tanzania

Comment

Most closely related to Callulina hanseni according to the original publication, where advertisement call and comparative morphology were detailed. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 128–129, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map.
