Comment
Stated to be allied with Ansonia ornata in the original publication. Dutta, 1997, Amph. India Sri Lanka: 53-54, and Chanda, 2002, Handb. Indian Amph.: 31, provided brief accounts. Das and Dutta, 2007, Hamadryad, 31: 154–181, noted a single abbreviated larval description in the literature. See map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 193. Mathew and Sen, 2010, Pict. Guide Amph. NE India: 9-10, provided a brief characterization and photograph of a preserved specimen. Naveen, Chandramouli, Kadam, Babu, Karunakaran, Kumara, and Parthasarathy, 2022, J. Threatened Taxa, 14: 22277–22292, reported on molecular markers, its call, life history, and adult morphology.
