Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Kiphire, Nagaland, northeastern India).

Comment

Most similar to Duttaphrynus melanostictus and Duttaphrynus himalayanus (as Bufo) according to the original publication. Mathew and Sen, 2010, Pict. Guide Amph. NE India: 11-12, provided a brief characterization and photographs.  Das, Chetia, Dutta, and Sengupta, 2013, Zootaxa, 3646: 336–348, compared this species with other Duttaphrynus from northeastern India.
