Bufo manipurensis Mathew and Sen, 2009, Rec. Zool. Surv. India, Occas. Pap., 293: 15. Holotype: ZSI-E 796, by original designation. Type locality: "Chakpi river, Panthakhuwphuw village, Chandel district, Manipur, (N. 24° 19′ 08.3″ E 94° 01′ 50.3″), Alt. 906 m above msl".

Distribution
Known only from the type locality (Chandel District, Manipur, northeastern India).
Comment
Mathew and Sen, 2010, Pict. Guide Amph. NE India: 14-15, provided a brief characterization and photographs. Das, Chetia, Dutta, and Sengupta, 2013, Zootaxa, 3646: 336–348, compared this species with other Duttaphrynus from northeastern India.
