Oreophrynella nigra Señaris, Ayarzagüena, and Gorzula, 1994, Publ. Asoc. Amigos Doñana, 3: 11. Holotype: MHNLS 10583, by original designation. Type locality: "Kukenan-tepui I, Estado Bolívar, Venezuala (09° 51′N—60° 48′ W). 2.500 m s.n.m."
