Type locality: "ECUADOR, Provincia de Sucumbíos, Cantóón Sucumbíos, Parroquia La Bonita, localidad Alto La Bonita 00° 29′ 19.2″N, 77° 35′ 11.4″W, 2614 m".

Known only from the type locality (Alto La Bonita, Parroquia La Bonita, Canton Sucumbíos, Provincia de Sucumbíos, Ecuador), although expected to extend into adjacent Colombia.
