Osornophryne sumacoensis Gluesenkamp, 1995, Herpetologica, 51: 269. Holotype: QCAZ 4570, by original designation. Type locality: "2500 m on slope of crater 5 km east of summit of Volcán Sumaco (00° 35′ S, 77° 37′ W), Provincia Napo, Ecuador.

Sapito de Sumaco (Spanish: Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 2: xxxi).

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality in cloud forest around a small crater lake on the eastern slopes of Volcán Sumaco, Napo Province, Ecuador, 2362 to 2750 m elevation.
