Comment
See comment under Pelophryne albotaeniata. See identification table by Manthey and Grossmann, 1997, Amph. Rept. Südostasiens: 26, to compare this species with others in the Sunda Shelf region. Malkmus, Manthey, Vogel, Hoffmann, and Kosuch, 2002, Amph. Rept. Mount Kinabalu: 85-86, provided an account. Veith, Wulfraat, Kosuch, Hallmann, Henkel, Sound, Samsu, Rudhimanto, and Iskandar, 2004, Tropical Zool., 17: 1–13, reported the species from Kayan Mentarang National Park, East Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 203. Haas, Das, Hertwig, Bublies, and Schulz-Schaeffer, 2022, Guide to the Tadpoles of Borneo: 252–254, summarized the knowledge of habitat, reproduction, larval morphology and coloration.
