Pelophryne rhopophilius Inger and Stuebing, 1996, Raffles Bull. Zool., 44: 547. Holotype: FMNH 252422, by original designation. Type locality: "Bukit Lanjak, 815 m, Lubok Antu District, Second Division, Sarawak", Malaysia.
Pelophryne rhopophilia — Frost, 2006, Amph. Spec. World, vers. 4.0. Correction in gender.
Common Names
Climbing Dwarf Toad (Imbun, Tan, Lakim, and Majuakim, 2025, Biodiversity Data J., 13(e157470): 10).
Distribution
Known from the region of the type locality at 815 m elevation, (Sarawak) and the Crocker Range at 1216 m elevation (Sabah), in East Malaysia, and likely in adjacent West Kalimantan, Indonesia, on Borneo.

Natural Resident: Malaysia, Malaysia, East (Sarawak and/or Sabah)
Likely/Controversially Present: Indonesia
Endemic: Malaysia, Malaysia, East (Sarawak and/or Sabah)
