Platymantis desticans Brown and Richards, 2008, Zootaxa, 1888: 49. Holotype: SAMAR56849, by original designation. Type locality: "Barora Faa Island, (off the western tip of Isabel Isl.), 0-10 m above sea level (07° 32.065′S, 158° 21.005′E), Isabel Province, Solomon Islands", Papua New Guinea.
