Distribution
Bougainville (Papua New Guinea), Fauro, Kolombangara, and San Cristobal in the Solomon Islands, but probably more widely distributed.
Comment
Removed from the synonymy of Discodeles bufoniformis by Brown, 1952, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 107: 41, where it had been placed by Barbour, 1921, Proc. New England Zool. Club, 7: 98. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 82, provided a brief account as did Pikacha, Morrison, and Richards, 2008, Frogs Solomon Islands: 42.
